Auric Air Services Ltd is Tanzania's preferred corporate and safari airline with a wide network of domestic scheduled services. From its bases at Mwanza Airport - Mwanza‚ Julius Nyerere International Airport - Dar-es-salaam and Arusha Airport‚ Auric Air provides scheduled flights to some of the most remote and otherwise inaccessible destinations within Tanzania. It provides daily scheduled services to more than 30 destinations and handles approximately 10‚000 passengers monthly.

The airline operates 15 aircraft consisting of Cessna Grand Caravans C208Bs and Cessna Grand Caravan EXs, a fleet which is amongst the youngest of Caravan fleets in this region. With the reliable turbine engine, this type of all weather aircrafts has been chosen to meet the specific requirements of operating into bush airstrips within Tanzania's world famous game parks, hunting strips and to not so well maintained airstrips within East Africa. The total baggage allowance for each passenger, including hand baggage, cameras, filming equipment and any other personal item including loose clothing, is 20kgs (44lbs) per passenger. Excess baggage will only be carried at the sole discretion of the Captain of the aircraft, if the payload of the aircraft and/or space permits and will be charged at the prevailing rate for carriage of freight.

If passengers anticipate they will have excess baggage‚ we recommend the below options:

• Excess Baggage is available in slabs of 10kgs.
• Excess baggage cost: $60.00 & $30.00 per slab
• Cost varies on the route/class booked.
• Maximum 4 slabs (40kgs) of additional luggage can be booked per passenger.
• Excess baggage can be purchased online for all classes on all routes.

For more than 40kgs, a "freight" seat at a child fare to be booked, which will permit confirmed carriage of an extra 75kgs. Captain of the aircraft may weigh the bags at airstrips, excess baggage can only be allowed at the Captain's sole decision based on the aircraft's capacity. We accept suitcases, as long as they are within the size limit.

Freight is strictly carried at the sole discretion of the Captain of the aircraft. It is the responsibility of the owner to ensure any freight. In the event of freight being lost or damaged during carriage, the Warsaw convention states that the Company’s liability is limited to a maximum of US $20 per kg. Damaged baggage will be considered on an individual basis depending on the extent of the damage. Scratches or opened zips will not be considered. Auric Air has no responsibility whatsoever for any cash, credit cards, jewellery‚ cameras, computers or other valuables contained in checked baggage.

Arrival at airport:

• Passenger’s temperature will be checked where available before entering the terminal building

• Passengers have to wear a mask when walking around the airport

• Passengers are to sanitise their hands frequently with the provided sanitisers

In the aircraft:

• Follow instructions from crew at all times

• Masks to be worn at all times

• Keep touching to a bare minimum

• Sneeze into your elbow

• Passengers to be alert for announcements about their destination

• Passengers are encouraged to check-in online and receive their boarding passes through their emails

• Passengers should arrive for check-in at least 1 hour before departure time

• Passengers shall fill in a health assessment checklist. If within required score, passenger shall travel otherwise referred to the nearest health facility

Auric Air only offers economy class services on all of their flights and no in-flight meals or drinks are provided.
