Top Places to Find the Best Coffee in Africa

You would think that outstanding coffee houses are a preserve of the best coffee producing countries in Africa, and that the rest have to make do with watered down chains or imitation houses. In this case, you would be wrong. There are some countries in Africa that have the best coffee houses and yet hardly produce any coffee beans to speak of. It all depends on the country’s coffee loving culture and a host of other economical reasons that we won’t delve into right now.

Kenya, like many African countries, has been a predominantly ‘tea’ drinking nation. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that we were colonized by the English, or maybe it is the fact that most of our coffee is designated as export product. Whatever the case, tea was a big deal for quite sometime. Until now! As things stand, the coffee drinking culture has taken great root in urban sections of the country (Just as it has in most urban areas within the continent).
